Our commitment: Slumberstar is built for families. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and do not collect personal information directly from children. All accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians.
1. Who We Are
Slumberstar is a mobile application that generates personalized bedtime stories for children ages 2–8. The app is operated by Be Wonderful Studio LLC. Contact us at hello@slumberstar.com.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information (from Parents)
When a parent or guardian creates an account, we collect:
- Name and email address (via Apple Sign-In)
- Subscription status and payment information (processed by Apple; we do not store credit card details)
2.2 Child Profile Information (entered by Parents)
Parents provide the following information about their child to personalize stories:
- Child's first name and age
- Pet names (optional)
- Best friend's name (optional)
- Favorite story themes (e.g., space, animals, fairies)
This information is stored securely and used solely for story personalization. Children never interact directly with the app's data entry screens.
2.3 Voice Recordings
Parents may optionally record a short audio clip of their child's name pronunciation. This recording is stored securely, used exclusively to splice the parent's voice into narrated stories, deletable at any time, and never shared with third parties or used for voice cloning.
2.4 Usage Data
We collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the app. No personally identifiable information about children is included in analytics events.

4. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic (Claude API) — Generates story text. Child profile data is sent to generate stories. Anthropic does not retain this data beyond the API request.
- ElevenLabs — Generates audio narration from story text.
- Supabase — Hosts our database and file storage. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- RevenueCat — Manages subscription status.
- Apple — Handles authentication and payment processing.
5. COPPA Compliance
- The app is directed at parents, not children.
- We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13.
- We do not serve behavioral advertising to children.
- A parental AI consent gate is implemented before story generation.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete child profiles, voice recordings, or request complete account deletion by emailing hello@slumberstar.com. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of request.

By downloading or using Slumberstar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. The Service is designed for parents and legal guardians to use on behalf of children ages 2–8.
2. Subscriptions & Payments
Free Tier
New users receive 3 free stories with no subscription required.
Paid Subscriptions
- Monthly: $9.99/month
- Annual: $69.99/year
Both plans include a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions are billed through Apple and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel via Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions.
3. AI-Generated Content
Stories are generated using artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic). We implement content safety guardrails to ensure all stories are age-appropriate. We encourage parents to enjoy stories alongside their children.
4. Voice Recordings
If you record a voice clip, you grant Be Wonderful Studio LLC a limited license to use that recording solely for splicing your voice into narrated stories. You may revoke this at any time by deleting the recording from your Profile.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages is Slumberstar designed for?
Slumberstar creates bedtime stories for children ages 2–8. Stories automatically adjust vocabulary and complexity based on your child's age.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Slumberstar → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Is my child's data safe?
Yes. We comply with COPPA. All accounts are managed by parents. We never collect data directly from children and never serve ads. See our Privacy Policy.
What about the voice recording feature?
The optional voice recording captures a parent saying their child's name. It is used exclusively to splice your voice into narrated stories. You can delete it anytime from the Profile screen.
How do I request deletion of my data?
